VHF104 – Viscoelastic Characterization of Foam up to 10 KHz

VHF 104 is a unique and innovative Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer that applies a direct experimental method to measure the material viscoelastic properties over a very high frequency range from 100 Hz to 10 KHz, while usual DMA can only work up to 1000 KHz only. Unlike common DMA tests, the principle of the VHF 104 is to profit from the material resonances to characterize the viscoelastic properties. The figure shows the modulus E and Tan Delta of PU foams characterized at very high frequencies at three different temperatures.
